United Kingdom

Lucy is Global Focal Point for SDG3/Health in the UN Major Group for Children and Youth where she works to enhance and strengthen the voice of adolescents and youth on their health and rights through global, regional and national policy processes. She is passionate about the role that youth advocacy can play and is committed to ensuring that this generation of young people, and those to come, are recognised and engaged in creating a sustainable, healthy and more equal world for all.

She also chairs the Commonwealth Youth Health Network (CYHN) which partners with the Commonwealth Secretariat and member countries in achieving health-related development goals, with a particular focus on the needs of adolescents and young people. CYHN seeks to bring the voices of young people from across the Commonwealth, including those from small island states and indigenous communities, to the forefront on a range of key issues. Recently the network has led a campaign on mental health in the Caribbean, empowered young people to advocate for youth-friendly health services in the Pacific and organised SDG3 hackathons in cities from London to Lagos.

A public health specialist by background, Lucy has worked extensively in both policy and practice with a particular focus on health equity and the right to health
