Youth Combating NTDs is a global community of young people who are fighting to end Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs). This youth-focused and led initiative, is designed to mainstream the participation of young people within the NTD community across all its activities. Youth Combating NTDs is an initiative of Uniting to Combat NTDs and Future Africa Forum.
Engage
We engage various stakeholders through our engagements, ranging from interactions in boardrooms with global industry leaders to connecting with community members and health workers on the ground.
Empower
We empower young leaders that are passionate about learning about NTDs with a view of being actively involved in the work of the NTD community in various capacities that range from advocacy to policy making.
Support
We support greenfield as well as already existing healthcare initiatives that seek to carry out NTD related or aligned activities within their communities – including Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).
Our impact
We are on a global mission to impact the lives of over 1.7 billion people who are at risk of being affected by NTDs, with over a billion of those people below the age of 15. Our work is centered around advocacy, training, and the support of stakeholders, including those affected and those working to eradicate and eliminate these diseases.
