YCNTDs Advocacy Toolkit
Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are preventable and treatable diseases that affect over 1.7 billion people globally. The effects of NTDs are devastating and can last a lifetime, yet many people in the world remain unaware of these diseases, much less the support that those who live with them and those who work to end them need.
As the largest and most affected demographic globally, young people have a significant role to play in the fight to end NTDs, especially now as we are in the last mile of the WHO #2030RoadMap. Additionally, given the competition for global health resources, it is our responsibility to ensure the effective framing of NTDs as a global public good and a part of holistic global health systems.
Therefore, as part of our advocacy effort, we have created this toolkit that includes powerful statements aimed at:
- Amplifying the voices of young people who advocate for positive change in the NTD space,
- Stimulating engagement with and support for youth in the NTD space,
- Generating demand and resources for NTDs- thereby strengthening global health systems.
Joining the YCNTDs advocacy efforts using this toolkit is easy!
The graphic statements in the toolkit are free for download and use globally. We trust that you will find them valuable and share this page further with your communities to amplify our collective voice.
