My name is Olakusehin Damola. I am 15 years of age, from Ondo state, Nigeria. I am from a nuclear background and in Senior secondary school 3 where I am an art student.
Some of my previous achievements include competing on behalf of my primary school at the age of 7 and winning a trip to the USA. I am an artist and I love football.
What inspired you to enter the World NTD Day Story telling competition?
The money was part but after my research on NTDs, I wouldn’t want to stop at just drawing alone but through actions. So, it was the pain of victims.
Why does fighting NTDs matter to you?
It matters so much because I grew up in a country with so much cases of NTDs.
How do you intend on continuing the fight against NTDs after this competition?
Start up a non-profit organization for taking up actions in areas with large cases.
What would be your request to your country’s leaders regarding fighting NTDs?
My only request would be for their sponsorship and support to make things easier and faster to eradicate the disease.
