What inspired you to enter the World NTD Day Story telling competition?

I became inspired when my friend told me about the competition and I didn’t know what NTDs were…Upon reading about Neglected Tropical Diseases, I realised how important combating NTDs is, and how it has been overlooked in my country’s Health agenda.

Why does fighting NTDs matter to you?

It matters a lot to me because fighting NTDs will ultimately improve the quality of life and Access to healthcare of Nigerians in rural areas.

How do you intend on continuing the fight against NTDs after this competition?

I’ll continue to share information and educate people about preventing NTDs.

What would be your request to your country’s leaders regarding fighting NTDs?

I request that they pay more attention to providing normal amenities like running clean water and proper health centres to rural areas in order to stem NTDs.
